Do you have difficulty falling asleep at night, even when exhausted at the end of the day?
Do you wake repeatedly throughout the night, anxiously watching the hours tick by? Perhaps you wake too early, unable to fall back to sleep?
Or spend hours in bed trying to sleep, yet still feel unrefreshed and fatigued the next day?
If this sounds familiar, you are not alone!
Disturbances with sleep are one of the most commonly reported health complaints heard by GP's, with as many as 30-40% of Irish adults reporting unsatisfactory sleep on a regular basis.
The Sleep Clinic is here to help.
At The Sleep Clinic, we offer specialised,
non-pharmacological therapeutic support to help you sleep well again.
Our services are holistic and centered around scientific and evidence-based interventions including Mindfulness-Based Interventions and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i).
CBT-i is the first line treatment recommended for chronic insomnia by the American College of Physicians and is scientifically proven to be as effective as sleep medication in the short term, and more effective in the long term.
The Sleep Clinic is run by Jean O Hanlon, BSc., HDip. Psych, who holds specialised training and expertise in the areas of sleep and insomnia disorders. Jean is a member of the Irish Sleep Society, has published academic research in the area of sleep and has traveled internationally to train with world-leading experts in sleep psychology and behavioural sleep medicine.
With a background in psychology, mindfulness-based interventions and health & wellness coaching, Jean is uniquely positioned to work with the variety of mental, emotional, spiritual and lifestyle factors that impact on sleep quality.
